Nelsonville, OH – Digital Works and Hocking College have teamed up in an effort to connect area students with flexible, work-at-home and work-from-campus job opportunities. On Wednesday, October 7, at 2:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 p.m., Hocking College will host an orientation to the Digital Works program for students. The orientations will take place in JL195 Auditorium on the Hocking College campus.
“We are excited to be partnering with Digital Works on this important project,” said Dr. Young, President of Hocking College. “This project provides the flexibility for Hocking College students to have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and earn income while completing their degrees.”
The Digital Works program provides training, mentorship, and job placement assistance for leading-edge customer support and IT jobs with global corporations. These opportunities can include flexible part-time schedules and the option to work from locations with high-speed Internet, such as home or a college campus. Statewide, Digital Works has helped people secure more than 500 jobs. At the nearby Digital Works facility in Logan, Ohio, more than 60 jobs have been obtained.
“The program provides a great opportunity for college students,” said Stu Johnson, Vice President of Digital Works. “We can offer a variety of Internet-based telework options–from client engagement to tech support, and even online gaming support. The chance to gain work experience with nationally recognized global companies is a great advantage.”
